Well have just started my small Kombi collection last year but already have 3 Kombi's on the go. First is "CHARLIE" the 71 Lowlight 8 seater currently undergoing a complete restoration. Check my thread in the Resto section for more info. I also have a 74 camper "RUSTY" who is unfortunately the donor bus for Charlie. My third Kombi is "Busby", a yellow 73 Lowlight, 8 seater, daily driver. I love all my Kombis and am really getting a kick out of transforming these forgotten rusty shells into awesome little vans of beauty.

originally from newcastle NSW now living in colac vic. My best mates uncle is the original owner of my 1977 van. He then sold it to his parents and they had it for some years. i remember riding in it to the beach, footy and fishing when i was a teen. Never ever knowing i will be owning it some day. ive had it for 9 years now. Done heaps of klms e.g. to perth via aires rock and lived in it for 3months while there. 5 years ago got it resprayed and rust cut out. About too restore it again. its got to much history to let go

Trinity is our first Kombi. She spent the first 33 years of her life in North Queensland (near Trinity Beach). We are the third owners. She is a joy to drive and own. I think we will own a Kombi for life...

Mr parents bought our VW Caravelle new back in 1989 to accommodate a growing young family. Over the last 20 years, it has been a part of the family and has been a very practical and enjoyable car to drive.

Our first kombi was our 76 Camper (Jack) and we've been hooked ever since. And our family has grown since then, moving into a 77 microbus when our twins were born. Unfortunately when our 7th child was born we didn't have the room and sadly had to move onto a 10 seater non-kombi bus. Now that our eldest has moved on, we have been able to get back into the "Kombi club". Now we have a 76 camper (Lucy) and a microbus (name yet to be confirmed - maybe Scooby)! Its good to be back!! :-)

This beauty is a 1978 Ex-Army Microbus. 2 Litre, Auto, Factory Air Cond, Swivel seats. We had a '72 Kombi from new growing up and I've always had a soft spot for them. I actually bought a '69 Fastback earlier this year and as a coincidence my brother bought a '58 splitty. Well, one thing led to another and after going to a few shows and meetings I started thinking that the Kombi was more versatile, a better investment, etc. Hell, I'd say anything to justify it to my wife. The sad thing was selling the fastback but I couldn't afford both. Looking forward to doing some runs withe the KombiKonnection group here in Perth.

I have been a VW person for as long as I can remember. My grandfather had a few and the first car I ever drove was an old beetle around his property. My wife and I drove around Oz in my first Kombi (Wally) a few years ago but when this old truck came on the market I sold Wally to make space.
One day I will restore him and continue to enjoy the adventure of owning and driving old Volkswagens.
